Setting up the perfect indoor activity

Organizing a team activity requires some effort, but with the help of the MAKE platform, we aim to make the process smoother and more enjoyable as you create your solutions.

Once your activity is set up, take a moment to review these tips for delivering a successful indoor team activity.

1. Pick the Right Day and Time

It may seem simple, but it’s important to choose a day when most of the team will be in the office. Consider aligning the activity with other key internal meetings to ensure higher attendance. As for timing, pick a slot that doesn’t clash with other commitments. Late afternoon often works well, especially if you have a social event planned afterwards.

2. Divide Your Group into Teams

Most of our activities are designed to be enjoyed in teams. We recommend forming groups of 4-6 people. Teams larger than this may struggle to engage everyone, while smaller teams miss out on the chance to interact with more colleagues.

3. Select a Team Captain

Each team should have a captain responsible for managing the game. They’ll need to download the Mobile Adventures app to their smartphone (ideally in advance) and make sure their phone is fully charged. It’s also important that the captain stays for the entire activity – you don’t want them and their phone leaving early!

4. Set the Mood with Music

Enhance the experience by playing some background music while the activity is underway. Music can help create a fun and engaging atmosphere, encouraging participation.

5. Prepare to Share Photos and Videos

Many of our activity templates include a mix of quiz questions and photo/video challenges. These challenges generate great content, which we recommend sharing with the teams at the end. A slideshow of the best moments is sure to create some laughs and memorable moments!

6. Reward the Winning Team

Most activities will result in one team earning the highest points and emerging as the winner. Announce the winning team at the end of the session and, if you'd like, offer a prize. It doesn’t have to be extravagant – a small gift card or even something exciting like an extra day of annual leave can work wonders. Alternatively, sometimes the glory of winning is reward enough!

By following these tips, you’ll ensure that your next indoor team activity is a fun and successful experience for everyone involved.
